FIM offers a number of crane styles and capacities to get the job done. We build overhead cranes (1/4-160 TON), jib and gantry cranes (1/4-5 TON), workstation cranes (1/4-2 TON) and monorail cranes (1/4-20 TON) for any job.

Jib Cranes

Jib Cranes lift and transport materials from 1/4 to 5 tons to adjacent workstations in full or semi-circles around their support structure (floor or wall). Hoists, manipulators, balancers or other hook devices can be installed on the booms to accommodate specific needs. Jib cranes can be configured to have a combination of manual and motorized motions.

Floor-Mount Jib Cranes are the industry’s most versatile crane. They are ideal to place underneath bridge cranes for specific workstation duties. These foundation-mounted cranes install almost anywhere and are often overlapped with other jibs to provide staged operation.

Floor-Mount Jib Cranes are most commonly used in light duty applications such as loading docks, machining, and assembly lines. They are ideal assisting cranes to overhead bridge crane workstations. They have circular coverage areas that span from 8ft to 20ft.

Wall-Mount Jib Cranes are a cost effective option of providing hoist coverage for individual use in bays. We offer a variety of styles of Wall-Mount Jib Cranes to cover a variety of applications. Wall-Mount Jib Cranes are an effective benefit when paired with an overhead bridge crane allowing movement through workstations.

Wall-Mount Jib Cranes are most commonly used in light-duty applications such as assembly plants and machining workstations. They supplement overhead crane systems and fold up against the wall to maintain working space. They are the most cost-effective crane option to serve light-duty workstations.

We provide an array of Overhead Bridge Cranes with capacities of 1 to 160 tons to handle the heavy-duty lifting needs of any facility or warehouse.

A top-running Single Girder bridge crane is a common crane design where the end trucks operate on a fixed rail or track attached to the top flange of a runway beam or girder. The hoist rides on the lower flange of the bridge beam.

OVERVIEW

Single Girder Cranes are most commonly used in light- to medium-duty applications like machine shops, warehouses, steel & metal fabricators and heavy equipment maintenance facilities. They are typically built with a wire rope hoist or electric chain hoist. Single Girder Cranes are an economical solution for your material handling needs with structural beam spans up to 62′4″ and box girders from 60′ to 120′ Span.

A top-running Double Girder crane is a heavy-duty crane design where the end trucks operate on a fixed rail attached to the top flange of the runway beam or girder. The hoist is the top running type and the trolley rides on fixed rails attached to the top flange of the bridge beam or girder. The top running Double Girder crane has parallel bridges running together at a fixed gage essentially doubling the load potential available. In addition, the load hook can be raised between the two crane girders which enables maximum lifting height.

OVERVIEW

Double Girder Cranes are most commonly used in medium- to heavy-duty applications such as steel warehouses, coil handling facilities, foundries, casting plants, large tool & die facilities, paper mills and large manufacturing facilities. They utilize the double girder crane design to help spread out the loadings created by the capacity requirements. Structural beams in the lighter capacities are limited while box girders are effective on the heavier capacities and longer spans. Double Girder Cranes are required at 75+ ton capacities.

Under running bridge cranes are usually under 10 ton and are most commonly supported from the ceiling to allow for maximum floor space.

We will review your current building and decide if an underhung, ceiling supported crane is the right choice. Freestanding support systems are also available.

Monorail Cranes

Monorail systems are a budget-friendly choice for lifting and transporting products along a fixed path allowing for great layout flexibility.

A monorail is a single beam system that can be straight or curved sections of beam or track. On monorail systems, the hoist/trolley rides on the lower flange of the beam or track.

FIM Cranes & Service provide monorail systems with manual operations and fully motorized setups.

Ceiling-Mounted Monorail Cranes require no floor space for support columns. The monorail tracks are flush-mounted parallel and cross-mounted to ceiling beams.

Freestanding Monorail Cranes provide permanently installed monorail systems over long spans where there are no existing structures for mounting. Freestanding monorail configurations include:

Freestanding Monorail Cranes are most commonly used in light-duty applications such as paint lines, production processes, loading docks and waste water treatment plants.

Floor supported monorails are available if your building structure does not support the monorail system. Single beams allow for straight or curved sections for more flexibility. Interlocks and/or switches are common with monorail crane systems to easily move from one system to the next. Ideal for warehouse-to-warehouse transfer.

Workstation Cranes

Increase your work area efficiency by adding a Gantry Crane or even a freestanding or ceiling mounted Workstation Crane.

Gantry Cranes can provide a cost-effective and quick solution to lift materials. The wheels on gantry cranes can provide maneuverability in around you facility for the ability to lift in different areas without having to purchase a costly, permanent structure for different areas. The heavy duty frame design make for a stable lift and movement of the Gantry Crane.

Gantry Cranes are most commonly used in light- to medium-duty applications. They span up to 30’ and offer capacities up to 5 tons. Gantry Cranes are a flexible lifting solution that can be adjusted easily and moved for different lifting heights. Featuring a lightweight extruded aluminum track, they can also come with adjustable span and height for easy storage when not in use.

Workstation Cranes are available in a variety of configurations with spans up to 30 feet and lift capacities between 150 and 4,000 pounds. Workstation cranes are available in both steel and aluminum.

Workstation crane systems utilize an enclosed track with a high strength to weight ratio.

Workstation Cranes are most commonly used in light- to medium-duty applications. They are vailable as a modular monorail, free-standing and ceiling-mounted. The modular monorail track utilizes a back and forth movement on a single plane for high efficiency in small spaces. The modular free-standing workstation can fit into numerous industrial applications. Ceiling-mounted workstations utilize maximum floor space.
